“In a corner of Andalucía, where nobody knows why there are more jazz singers
than any other place in the region, the latest to blossom with an album is Rosa Lazar,
who has switched from pop to light jazz. On this work she’s surrounded by some
well-known names: Stocker, Jespersen, Andrade, Miguel Pérez, Rafa Lozano… These
musicians bring oriental luxury to an album which turns softly in the CD player, emitting
a honeyed voice which conveys the sensuality and warm light of the beginnings of every
summer. It has a mellow note of an old black and white musical and the soft resonance
of the distant notes of a guitar. And the most noteworthy thing is that her own material
seems to come from the most classical style, from the Real Book itself. This is a debut
worthy of a peal of bells.”
